One of the most important aspects of sustaining sustainability in the face of the climate crisis is to address the root causes of vulnerability, which includes the structural inequalities that cause and maintain poverty and limit access to resources.

We have learned that climate change impacts can boost growth, for example, by generating co-benefits, which are the added benefits of taking action to stop climate change. To understand the co-benefits, A recently published World Bank study revealed that deaths due to air pollution caused the world’s economy to lose $5 trillion each year, with 5.5 million people dying from related illnesses in 2013.
